Almost a year ago I decided to close my own business after 5 years.  Searching for something to connect with (its difficult giving up a company) I thought I would combine my interest in entrepreneurship and my undergrad degree in environmental studies.  www.turninggreengold.com was born… and lived a short life.

My grand ambition was to take a look at trends and opportunities in green entrepreneurship.  But like so many people who run their own business, I was not that aware of what was going on outside my industry — pharmaceuticals at the time.  Not a lot of talk about environmental responsibility going on there.  Much to my surprise there was lots of discussion going on around green and socially responsible business.  After reading what a lot of other people were writing about I decided that my voice wouldn’t add much to the discussion.

Fast forward 6 months and I am working for another company where I do get to keep a bit more of an eye on the earth friendly market place — green building to be exact.  I notice more chatter about Green Wash and seeing things that seem to stretch credibility.  And from there www.isitgreenwash.com is born.
